Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Thursday, 27-Jul-2023 23:25:35 JST Maholmire Dunno why they couldn’t have ran Misskey on the same server for poa.st as Stereophonic previously did with their frontend options.
Anyway, calling all self-hosting nerds: @pwm, @graf, @dcc, @winter, @asahi7 and @waotzi, @waotzi, @waotzi, @waotzi.
I may have a series of self-hosting questions that I would be appreciative if you could lend your expertise on by weighing in. To start, what file system would you recommend for a server? EXT4, ZFS, or something else?

filesystem doesn't matter, you just want enough ram for postgresql not to crap out and that's it
if you were worried about storing millions of files across many disks, you'd set up S3 later anyways -

Maholmire (maholmire@crlf.ninja)'s status on Thursday, 27-Jul-2023 23:26:02 JST Maholmire Suppose ZFS might be off the table then. Just for context, I've provided the virtual machine with around 8 GiBs of memory and 50 GiBs of space. Machismo repeated this.
