@Giganova8@DW2 really the only place in my city to go driving to is downtown or the beach and the restaurants there Even then I'm too poor to even dine there and feel out of place in some rich area
@DW2 Ah yes, the freedom to wander around the overcrowded city, look at all the overpriced boomer toys on sale they could never even hope to afford, and get mugged/cuddled by a pack of feral groids! Why, it's truly one of life's greatest mysteries why the kids aren't rushing out the door the instant they can!
@MordredSimp@DW2@Giganova8 now a days, pretty much Bowl of ice cream in downtown gets to like 8 bucks for 1 person Not mentioning the other local shops selling coffee at like 9 bucks or specials at 20 bucks for 1 person It just demotivates me more to get a driver's license when everything is high way robbery or overpriced to shit for a family Not to mention local community college is an 1 hour away in car combined with all the traffic leading there and gas prices being bullshit
@luithe@DW2@Giganova8 It's because the state wants you dependant on them and go to them for help and for you to ask them to "fix the problem" that they caused by their stupid policies in the Federal Reserve and increasing Taxes
@MordredSimp@DW2@Giganova8 I still remember a selling point for cc was the "financial aid" shit that was pushed to me of intentionally getting yourself into debt to pay for shitty texts books that I can pirate online And the "free money" which I was beyond suspicious of the "get paid and go to school" schtick
@Giganova8@DW2 Outside of shitholes like cities, everything's also really expensive, it's expensive to drive, restaurants are expensive and have shit service, no one is hiring. There's nothing, it's a recession
@DW2 Been dealing with this this whole trip, shuffling stuff around for the show. You will not BELIEVE how much these old guys misunderstand the lay of the land. They mistake hopelessness for laziness, all while complaining about how they can’t get better jobs because they’re “old white men”
When I tell them “yeah, now imagine how bad it is for the dudes without experience and connections” they start huffing about how that’s “illegal” or “the court outlawed affirmative action”
I’ve been seriously having like, 10 hours of boomer conversation this week
@DW2 >every job is minimal wage dead end job >cant afford house >cant afford car >cant afford gas >cant afford eating out >no entertainment outside whatsoever >extreme danger of random nigger attack >general hopelessness due to 24/7 propaganda
Not even enough to fill up the gas tank. Boomers inherited racially homogeneous communities, intact families and an economy in which the average entry level job payed for a car, an apartment and a hefty savings account. They failed to pass this on to their kids and grandkids, and like the generation of spoiled adult children they are, they blame young White men for not working for free
You want young White men to work for you? Then fucking PAY them. And if the wage you give doesn't even afford an apartment, let alone a car or a savings nest egg, then you're not really paying them and you don't deserve to be in business. Every group of people that have betrayed, exploited and oppressed young White men should be dragged in front of their homes in the dark of night, their families watching on helplessly as their race-traitor capitalist relative gets publicly castrated under the torchlit moonlight. "Just work two jobs asshole" I swear to God when we win we'll make them wish they never opened their fucking mouths
Just talked to someone about how his lady friend was hired on at 25, flew second in command for 4 years, and then jumped from a regional into a legacy carrier to fly SIC until upgrading to captain at 30.
And that was in the 70’s.
But I still have to see these faggot-ass powerpoints about how there’s too much opposition to women, despite the fact 8/10ths of the scholarship winners are girls, 20% brown men.
@WashedOutGundamPilot@DW2 Yeah, I get that. I eat breakfast with my Grandfather every Monday morning at the local diner and I always end up chatting with the Boomers that sit there every morning drinking coffee.
They just don’t get how fucked the younger generations are. And I’ve gone into all sorts of things with them, including things like Reverse Mortgages.
@Codeki@DW2 They’re starting to get it via the eyes of the grandkids, when they have them. overall, my rule remains:
Boomers who worked, who continue to operate things are better about recognizing the state of things. They see that hard work isn’t rewarded in a one-to-one ratio like it once was
>It's the Left's fault that instead of creating a stable home and installing the traditional values our ancestors, I pit them in day care so the wife could feel empowered, we let TV keep them busy while we enjoyed our free time, we put them in public schools because homeschooling will make kids weirdos, we let them have unfettered access to the internet so the wife and I could be alone to watch movies at night, we bought them whatever they needed because it's just easier than arguing, and THAT'S how the Left ruined them.
@WashedOutGundamPilot@Codeki@DW2 My boomer parents completely understand that their grandkids aren't going to get a fraction of the opportunities we did so they are deploying resources both financial and nepotistic with any and all of their connections to address it
@WashedOutGundamPilot@DW2 The stories you hear about how easy it was to get a job are gobsmacking. "I just happened to be walking past and they begged me to become a director".
@Mr_Bichon@DW2 have heard so many guys just getting out of a plane and being offered something far bigger and better. That has mostly ended because insurance adds min. exp. limits, then legal adds even worse on top of that
@Mr_Bichon@DW2 Thankfully we don’t have to contend w/ that. Tons of boomer pilots, but very few xers and millennials, too expensive, time consuming, w/ too many boomers. Now that they’re on the precipice of forced retirement, they’re scrambling to put people through the 1M, 4 year process for an ‘entry’ level carrier job
@WashedOutGundamPilot@DW2 The myth of adversity, how many more times will we hear people talk about the struggles of being a minority being offered every scholarship and job?
@WashedOutGundamPilot@DW2 There's no way they can be that blind, my ancient dad, who's a left libertarian, can grasp that they don't may not be the best
