For those who don't know, these are the games featured in mobile ads that are total lies and the game is totally different. I have no idea why the mobile industry is allowed lying ads
The reality is that a lot of these games concept are very shallow, even if they look fun on a glance
@coolboymew They probably aren't allowed, but they're a bunch of shitty cheap "studios" in China pumping these out that are too hard to fine and too easy to dissolve and move all their assets (if they even have any) if any real action is taken against them. It's just too much of a hassle for incompetent and corrupt Western law enforcement to handle.
You could ask why big tech sites like YouTube run these obviously fake ads, but that's because they're greedy kikes who don't care about that kind of thing and selling ad space is one of the few ways they can get money out of China.
@Weeble they're the only ones that aren't ad ridden scams, and even there, most of them are shitty skinner box with really fucked up balance. You'll get 0 challenge in most of the content, and the challenging part will come from you having to have the new event chara to get farther, hurr
@coolboymew@shitposter.club Idk I guess there really isn't a point of a mobile market anymore? From what I heard most mobile game studios either went under or went on to make games on other platforms.
I feel like most would rather play on a dedicated games machine. Even retro stuff/games easy enough to get ported on mobile are probs more profitable dumping on pc behind a paywall.
@Weeble pretty much. The mobile market quickly became a shitshow
Apparently the normies are unwilling to spend 1$ on an app (but they'll spend like 10$ on a fucking starbucks coffee), which lead to the ad ridden freemium hellscape it is. Ironically the aunts won't spend 1$ on a good game app, but they'll spend 200$+ on motherfucking candy crush which is outright made to fuck you over at some point
The mobile ad market is also a fucking joke, it's practically all other game ads scam advertising other games ad scam
Destroy the gatcha market and the ad market and there won't be anything left on the mobile market
@coolboymew@Weeble@s8n i used to be willing to pay for mobile apps if it was cool and/or added an appreciable benefit to my life. like the calorie tracker when i was doing that.
unfortunately Apple has this bullshittery now where they want to be the exclusive holder of upgrade fees and are forcing everyone to charge monthly vigs so people don't associate buying a new phone with also having to buy upgrades.
@coolboymew@Weeble@s8n uly had kind of a cool thing going on where you could customize the markup with a tool. there was a "build your own markdown" type feature. but i'd never pay a vig to lease it.
@coolboymew@Weeble@s8n there might be an argument to be made about those rent to own things that are done here and there. some small number of devs have you pay the vig but if you stop paying you just get an old outdated version to keep going forward with.
i could tolerate that because it does make sense--you're paying to have maintenance and updates, not because of the threat of having all your shit taken away.
regardless, Rent to Own is not a thing on iTunes. you own nothing and you will be happy.
