     @LittleTom And even if he wants to play that game, his read on OoT Link still exposes an impoverished inner world - you follow this kid's incredible hero's journey, from at the start of the game being an outcast in his own village (Saria is his only friend) because he doesn't have a fairy to ending up with a Waifu harem and having the 7 Sages on speed dial, and your read on him is "a plank of wood"? OoT Link actually has a proper BACKSTORY, how many of the other Links even have that prior to the beginning of their games?

     @LittleTom I kinda wanted a Ganondorf game for a good while.
     Envisioned it as a Wario Land kind of take on the formula, where it's more combat focused, bordering on Team Ninja trash. With Spells taking the place of dungeon items.

     @DrScarGazer @LittleTom I would be fine with a game starring a Zelda character other than Link, but Link doesn't work as anything other than the playable character. If you're gonna do that, Link should be off adventuring somewhere else or otherwise absent.

     @ArdainianRight @DrScarGazer I don't have a problem with Zelda spinoffs potentially starring other characters, only the logic that Link and Zelda are completely interchangeable - and that somehow a redditor can find a way to argue that, "well every Link has the same name, they look the same, they have the same spirit, they ultimately do the same thing in every single story, but you see they have nothing in common and you could just replace the hero with the princess and it would make no greater difference"
