     @Pawlicker @hazlin @Giganova8 @ehhh "Tranime" is basically the same as saying Linux is for trannies. As you said, nerd communities are all susceptible to this. Nobody wants trannies infesting their hobbies and interests, we are all actively trying to get rid of them. Saying that "x is for trannies" is basically handing said thing over to them, which should never happen, but of course it's too tempting to say that when said thing is something you dislike for whatever reasons.

     @Giganova8 @ehhh @hazlin I should also add, the Kiwis and Chudbuds madling at anime didn't come out of a vacuum. Two things happened over on that side of the web: Josh tried to run an imageboard in like 2019-2020 called 9chan and he had to deal with CP posters and the like (as is with any dead altboard it seems unfortunately). He drew the conclusion that anime fans are all pedophiles from this (despite the "neko shota" blockland posts and actual posts he's made talking about how he was free speech and didn't care about loli).
     
     The second is that there has been for at least a decade an overlap between nerds (into anime/video games) and the trans community to the point "tranime" has become a common phrase in some circles, moreso when stuff like Boku Girl exists.
     
     Hence, as an example this post by Josh calling anime "Audiovisual HRT" exists, and also various edgelords have also gotten off to the idea that anime is now bad.

     @Giganova8 @ehhh @hazlin Also, one of my theories of why they're pushing so hard against anime is the whole Chris from MrBeast shitshow because people kept finding ironic edgy (circa early 2010s) tweets of his about liking loli and literally quoting a Pink Guy song. So they decided to post about the same tranime theory that Josh does as the boomer "grrr young kids liking something" mindset came out, and well you know the rest.
     
     Wanna know who picked up on it? The TERFs, who also tend to have similar views on that thing but from a "empowered womyn" mindset.

     Back to the boomers though. It's those damn kids and their video games and the anime making them turn gay and think they're women. If they pull too many threads on it, they'll uncover some uncomfortable facts and that can't happen. Nah. It's those darn kids watching anime again.

     Ever since Walsh had his little tantrum about anime back in early June(?), all the "serious political thinkers" have been crawling out of the woodwork to cry and whine about anime, vidya, and whatever else hasn't yet been globalized to hell. :akko_weary:
     
     Hell, even Sargon of all the people has been jumping on this, so IDK what juicy scandal is being covered up but they are pushing hard all of a sudden. :thonk:

     We have a serious epidemic of people who want the clout and dopamine of being a righteous crusader, but don't want to actually take risks or put in any effort to oppose anything actually worth opposing. After all, why take a risk speaking out against evil when you can instead get all the same societal rewards by going after something completely harmless?      I remember seeing a clip not too long ago of a women saying (in essence) "thank goodness the Jews run TV, if white men did you'd have nothing but fishing shows." My first thought is how much better it would be if there was just fishing shows instead of the trash reality TV and propagandist media that we have now. The disdain for a hobby becasue of it's association with rural whites really stuck with me. The idea that "those rednecks and hillbillies don't deserve the entertainment they like because it's not "sophisticated" enough" is quite common.

     @hazlin @Pawlicker @Giganova8 @ehhh tl;dr TV/Movie Jews in the early 70's canceled a bunch of rural and Americana-themed shows from networks because of the claim that "modern audiences cannot connect with them". The real reason is that degeneracy is easier to push in an urban setting and media Jews and shabbos goyim don't want Americans wishing for a better life than the Northern and West Coast urban hellscapes the Jews, shabbos goyim, and brownoids created.
     
     Oh, and rustic and agrarian themes always cultivate nationalist emotions no matter the audience. Can't have that either

     Maybe, but I suspect they attack it, because they hate anything with beauty or virtue. They don't want anyone to have a better vision to hold onto.
     
     The same reason why they spent lots of time destroying Clowns, and then Cowboys. If you talk to old people who remember when those were good things. It becomes clear that anything that people enjoy is a target to be erased, by those who hate everything.
