@WashedOutGundamPilot @CatLord Both sides of my family have folks that were on the same settler ship that came over to colonize. Everyone else is just an adopted son or brother tbh. I'd emphasize our american development more than most other things. You can be a nord or an italian as an american, but you simply cannot compare to the folk whose families actually built the original towns. Fundamentally different at several layers. Teaching your kids about this is pretty hard as a result. Just another reason why most states need to separate and make their own little unions or confederations to keep their own identity collected.
