     @WashedOutGundamPilot @rainignterror1080p Nah, it’s a game to them. Bulma gives him shit over not having a job because it gives her a bit of power over him. Vegeta let’s her do this because, as a race, Saiyan’s are attracted to overbearing, but strong, women.

     It’s the same reason Chichi complains even through Bulma has canonically offered a “save the earth multiple times” stipend to Son family. She doesn’t want handouts from her husband’s rich friend. She doesn’t want once every couple year tournament winnings. She wants solid, consistent work with good pay.

     And Goku does that for a bit, gets bored, and then trains some more.

     Though as you said, why would Vegeta specifically need a job?
     Goku has the excuse of farming of being able to see the fruits of his labor and a steady source of vegetables and still get paid for it, wether if he gets scammed at the market selling his stock or not
