   The speakers of the FORT prototype are now painted bright pink for hopefully at least some protection against water and had some custom grills added.

   The one on the woofer might rattle a bit (will have to test), but the ones on the tops are resting on rubber pads and I even managed to add some bevel to them to make some space for the membrane moving forward.

   First field test probably tomorrow afternoon at Camp++. :3

     @mntmn Not only that – a complete, DC-driven OSHW sound system.

     Meeting a person dabbling with d-class amplifiers at the camp, which I think will be an important step towards my goal of creating a modular 19"… thing that acts as USB soundcard but has DSPs + amps integrated.

     And in the even longer run, the goal is adding some mic inputs so you can just throw up the system, place measurement mics, press one button and it automatically sets all the DSP parameters.

     Initial project introduction is at https://phryk.net/article/introducing-fort/

     Project repo is at https://rnd.phryk.net/phryk-evil-mad-sciences-llc/FORT but not very helpful right now.

     Currently only contains the already publicly available THAM12 design as OpenSCAD model with 45° bevels for more robust connection between the pieces, but with the reinforcement pieces still missing.

     Also the prototype I built doesn't even use the 45° bevels because I currently don't have the necessary tooling for that.
