   The reason why I often downplay myself as a dumbass is because I want people to understand that I’m just as much a person to screws up and have things to learn as anyone else.

   I want to avoid being put on a pedestal for making Inochi2D.

   There’s enough people in this world who ride on an egotistical high due to having seen success. I don’t plan to be one of them.

     @katka @natty maybe it’s a culture thing too, in Denmark you’re seen as an asshole if you put yourself above others. Janteloven sums it up as “don’t think you are anything more than us”

     I aim to use my position to teach, show people how to do 3D graphics programming and demystify the magic behind it.

     @natty @LunaFoxgirlVT i've downplayed my successes for long enough to make myself believe that i can't do anything and i've made plenty of people feel terrible in the process, i would rather not fall into that hole again

     @LunaFoxgirlVT@vt.social any egoistical high from having an open source project become even moderately successful will inevitably be destroyed by having to deal with users. No ego is huge enough to survive the endless onslaught of entitled little shits demanding that their pet feature gets implemented immediately, in the software they're paying zero euros for. You'll be fine.
