I guess just finding good people is like finding a needle in a haystack. Or maybe it's my cynicism talking.
     
     I'm biased 😄 but I mostly like my opinions & world view but unfortunately I look like a vile fat gremlin. There's no getting past that. This is why I think that if you want a hot woman with traditional or based views....well you've truly found a diamond amongst the coals.

     Genuine question, where are these 'normal women'? I mean this sincerely. Outside of women in older generations, I very, very rarely find a woman around my age that isn't like this to some degree or another. And if I do, 9 times out of 10, they're married or already in a relationship. Where do you find them?

     @Eiregoat @sandwich @synapsid For girls, yeah, going to hobby groups will invariably give them their pick of the litter, but most will be scared away after a few appearances. It’s not comfortable being surrounded by 5 guys vying for their attention, for the more shy, conservative girls. THey tend to cycle in, start seeing a guy, and only show up when the pairing sours.

     The girls that hang around in stuff like trail builder groups are…..a diff. strain of lady to be sure

     The serious answer I'd give is hobby groups. Join hiking clubs and reenactment groups and such. It's a safe social environment to get to know people somewhere everyone isn't trying to get drunk/laid. I've known a lot of relationships came out of such groups.
     
     Also... consider not being atheist 😅. The world is much more interesting with past lives and gods, promise!

     @sandwich See that actually bodes well. I eschewed dating heftier girls in my early 20s but found that there’re some solid wifeable options in the subgroup, BUT-

     • they gotta be living at home where someone is buying the groceries. Being chunky is a diff. thing when you’re living alone from when you’re cooking dinner w/ family. You can’t really cut loose in the house when the family’s around, so you end up snacking on all that home-food for fun. Everyone’s got some kind of vice, and living w/ mom precludes drinking, smoking, and sex to a large extent.

     Girls like that end up picking up their guy’s eating habits when they jump ship onto his, before you know it you wake up one day and realize your pants have 3 inches of space in them. The fact that you’re taking care of your mom means you’re filial, another good thing. Depending on genetics I wouldn’t rule you out of my dating pool from what I know alone. You also seem down to earth, which guys really like because humble girls are fun to spoil.

She did the part time CC schedule thing but otherwise hung out at home, so they asked around and got her a part time job at a friend’s office being the desk girl.

     Funny how her hanging out at her parent’s home and doing nothing is terrible and gross but wonderful and cute when she’s doing it in mine. She was a NEET before…now she’s a “homemaker”

     @Owl @sandwich @synapsid I used to have a big chip on my shoulder about these things too but it is hard to avoid pattern recognition. A woman doesn't need to be a slut or bimbo to hold these sensibilities. She can actually be pretty modest and conservative and still get upset when some jackass gets an uppercut, let alone maimed or killed.
     
     Women as a whole don't like seeing people or animals getting physically hurt, even when they posed a direct threat. Men who hold similar opinions tend to be more effeminate and women that tend to hold the opposite view tend to be more masculine.
     
     It is literally an estrogen thing.
     
     Being empathetic isn't necessarily a bad thing, even towards your enemies. It just needs to be reasonable. If I wasn't capable of feeling empathy towards Nazis I wouldn't be here. These women were never taught to be reasonable and to curtail their feelings. Or sexual desire.

     Ie, home invader, she'd rather let him steal things than risk confronting him with a gun and possibly shooting him.
