     @izaya Ha, I did something like that, I assigned a key combination to a script that pulls a URL from the clipboard, prompts with dmenu, runs youtube-dl (which, so I didn't have to change any code, is now a symlink to yt-dlp), dumps the video in /tmp, plays it in the corner of the screen, then deletes it.

     @p I wrote a script to show a popup to choose whether to view a video now or save it for later when I click it in my RSS reader, because I'm often too lazy to update yt-dlp
