   i just cannot take people who use the term "mainstream media" seriously.

   it's like someone telling you "i like video games, just not button-based games."

     @mike805 @msprout I think there are a number of things people may mean when they say this. Many probably just mean Fox, CNN, ABC, NBC, etc. These networks dominate in terms of reach.
     
     I tend to think that any outlet large enough to have "investors" has a high probability of telling a version of the truth that most closely aligns with their needs. This includes pretty much all outlets. I can't think of any that I actually trust. I agree you will never find anything unbiased or objective. I'm not even sure that's possible unless you are reporting on the most mundane of things.

     @msprout There is no mainstream media in a country this divided. If you read CNN, Breitbart is a pack of lies. If you read Breitbart, CNN is fake news. If you want something objective and unbiased, it doesn't exist.
