     @1033north we only have vacation land there.
     @bluegoon and a few other people might have better input.

     We are in the thumb, which is likely the most liberal part of the state. And by most I mean the are actually democrats there.
     Berkeley springs and paw paw are the towns close to us. Berkeley is home to a warm spring as well as vdare.

     Poolboi is down in harpers ferry, the hang nail.
     wild and wonderfuloff grid is spending money in lost city/Romney. Thumb meets palm

     Yea, harpers ferry is just too close to civilization.

     Berkeley springs is a cute little tourist town but surrounded by outdoor life. We're right on the potomac which is awesome.

     @Pantangelini @1033north yeah I have some property out by paw paw too, and eventually I want to build a house and move out there. I live right in town now, but my Dad bought this house when I was a kid, and I have a bit of an attachment to it. I would prefer to be outside of town a bit more where I could have pigs and/or sheep, but in town we're still allowed poultry and water fowl which works for the time being. Thankfully I have a little bit of room here, and I live in a regular neighborhood without an HOA.

     @caekislove @1033north @Pantangelini it's amazing they exist at all. It seems like the idea is "I won't trash my place, you don't trash yours" which is noble. We all have to look at each other's property to a point. But then it seems like instead of figuring out a set of rules that everyone who lives there can agree on it is just a list of shit that everyone wants to do but can't.

     @charliebrownau @caekislove @1033north @Pantangelini I think in Colorado you have to pay a tax for access to water on your own property (separate from the property taxes they already extort). I think that applies whether you plan to catch rain or dig a well although I could be wrong.
