mike805 (mike805@fosstodon.org)'s status on Saturday, 24-Jun-2023 19:49:33 JST mike805 @goose Bing GPT kept giving me wrong answers to a basic question today: how does one get Microsoft SQL to dump a table to CSV? This is surprisingly hard, you have to edit a config file, and Bing GPT doesn't know how to do it. In this case Google won. Other times Google has been clueless and GPT rattled off the answer.

Goose (goose@fosstodon.org)'s status on Saturday, 24-Jun-2023 19:49:38 JST Goose One big problem of AI is the same as with other tech solutions. It doesn't argue well enough for non-standard cases.
Bing chat will easily hype answers derived from top search results, and then suffers in use when it's far from the most appropriate answer.
Like a textbox that doesn't fit the current view.
Or government and corporate websites that can't consider alternative forms to fit peculiar users.
Lead by primary verdict issues.
