     @greenpx A while back she bought a dozen of these mofos telling me “don’t worry they’re all hens it’ll be fine” and how we have a 5 lb rooster with a harem that I just KNOW is gonna end up exploding in population just like the rest

     Great breed though, been called the “golden retrievers” of chickens and it’s somewhat true. Sloppy eaters though, ours refuse to eat their feed the second they peck it out of the trough. Very strange, like they aren’t smart enough to scavenge effectively

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @greenpx you know, the eggs can't hatch if you throw 'em in the fridge, just make sure you collect them every day, i'ma get some orphington hens myself we're turning one of the three sheds we got on the property into a coop.

     @Zealist @greenpx We have a pretty impressive breeder system though, everyone in the family uses us for hatching. It’s a waste not to hatch them when we have a bunch of these funky breeds. I like it as a hobby to keep her busy at home, and she gets a chunk of pocket money out of it. Hatching about…12-30 every other month or so, mostly naturally. One of the ranging hens just comes back one day with a dozen chicks in tow.

     She got some funky show breeds that were pretty expensive, so it seems like a waste to look down and realize my breakfast could have been converted to $35 cash. She’s been begging to import those longtail jap phoenixes next but I’m kinda…..at my wit’s end with the number we got running around right now

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Yea these were all supposed to be hens but we got a rooster. Its ok tho, we'll see how he does. And yea, love me some buffs. Little sweethearts.
