     @coolboymew @rhys I encountered a redditor in real life one time. From what I saw, it's like many other social media where you curate a feed of different topics and then endlessly scroll through the various threads they have in the comments.
     
     In simple terms, a less engaging form of fedi. Sure people are on it much longer but they don't really talk as much and if they do, it's copypastas or whatever other retard political opinion they're having at that moment.
     
     Some threads are useful like piracy ones about textbooks or ones asking about questions you may have but those ones are old and operate like stack overflow when asking how to print statement in java.
     
     Very popular subreddits like r/askreddit have recycled stale old boring content that is usually sexual

     @Hyperhidrosis @rhys my problem with using it like that is that a lot of subs are outright useless. Lots of astroturfed subs. Some others the mods are clearly being bribed
     
     The rest are only useful occasionally. The Analogue sub is useful for some information, but only on an occasional visit. A lot of the other subs are useful to visit for questions, but to hang out there?... Not really

Either by literally forcing someone to be a mod that's on their sound, very much trying to pin you on their intentionally vague rules or- i'm not shitting- ban all of your mods and promptly ban the sub itself for being unmoderated.
