someone remind me of the window maker option to make the windows maximize OVER the docked launchers please????
-
@ringo I use i3 anymore. Everything is full screen until you open more things. There is also a tabbed mode where instead of splitting the screen it will open on top of other applications on the desktop. You can use keyboard shortcuts to change a desktop's behavior and the profile config to set the default. It just reads a config file no GUI for making changes AFAIK.

it used to be the two options under "when maximizing," if im remembering this correctly, but they no longer seem to have any affect on anything.
-
@thatguyoverthere ive never tried that one.
-
@meso @dcc @thatguyoverthere ah.
yeah im not a minimalist. i can deal with my window manager using 2.5 gb of ram. TOTALLY okay with that.
i dont want to make my workflow unnecessarily harder, just for it to look like a banking terminal. for me that's not a win, that's just making life harder.

@ringo @thatguyoverthere @meso suckless is not gay lol, meso just does not like dwm
-
@dcc @thatguyoverthere @ringo I like dwm, I just don't like :x11pig:
it's hard to call something minimalist when it uses X11 lmao
-
@meso @dcc @thatguyoverthere
keep me out of the gay stuff, thanks meso.
-
@dcc @thatguyoverthere @ringo behold, the new gay pride logo
-
@thatguyoverthere @ringo >not dwm
:suckless:

@meso @thatguyoverthere @ringo >less code lines is LE GOOD, AND IT 100% WERKS
Both wrong, i recommend you stop doing meth
-
@dcc @thatguyoverthere @ringo yes, less code lines is good if it does the same thing faster, better and more securely in the end. please don't embarrass yourself
-
@dcc @thatguyoverthere @ringo yeah, Wayland is peak minimalism. my favorite Wayland compositor is only ~20,000 lines of source code total, meanwhile Xserver + dwm is at least 384,000 lines of source code. Wayland is simply simpler and less shit, that's objective reality :marseycool2:

@meso @thatguyoverthere @ringo >wayshit is minimalist
