     I listen to his videos because am lazy and like to listen to them while doing something else. he for the most part does not do the interruptions like "I am funny stuff"

     @ChurnHinge @Royper That’s a real common thing w/ designers. They’ll pick up something in your shop and swing it around before saying “woah, this is kinda like a gun/laser/sword/spear”

     Couple years later you see the design and think “hey…..that looks like the shearer in my shop”

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @ChurnHinge @Royper Once you learn to do it its a switch that cant be turned off, this is the trait or process that people who say “I’m not creative” lack. It is a learned skill and something you can practice. Its a method of observation I know as “to steal like an artist” and is both a blessing and a curse. The blessing comes from practiced unconventional uses for things and the ability to store concepts for later use, the curse being that your ability to see things is changed, A shitty book/anime/movie/comic becomes background to cool design choices you could steal, and a habit of collecting reference materials and some of it you will never get the opportunity to use.
