     I don’t think many people will be talking about it in 50 years, I rarely hear quotes from it today. Too avante gard, too artsy

     @cvstle @GrungeQueef I think that’s it. Maybe you gotta come from a certain kind of background to appreciate it. It was on my hard drive forever, really got shilled hard for a while there so I’d sometimes crack open a bit and skim to see if anything caught my eye. A good book grabs you, you open it to a random point and look up to see 2 hours have passed.

     Instead it just reads like a self-indulgent, unhappy “gifted” underachiever doing his own artsy-fartsy ‘look at me’ book. I hope he does something in the future once he has some life under his belt, he has parts of what’s needed to provide a good book, he just hadn’t lived enough to draw upon anything to write about.

     I know some guys love it, and it DOES have some good quotes here and there, but if it were truly one for the ages we’d see it quoted 2 or 3 times a week around here. And it’s not.
