     So: Expect nothing to show for it, we won’t give you guys goalposts because those metrics determine success or failure. As long as anything happens, it’s victory.

     It’s interesting to see because some day we’ll see similar pieces when they fail to re-integrate rebellious states into the union. “Don’t expect america to have all 50 states any time soon, offensives are hard….” they’ll say in 2050

     They’re learning from propaganda failures. While the first year of the fight saw old-fashioned propaganda in line with bombastic WWII jingoism - large expectations on key battles, playing up the feeling that history is being made - I suspect this will be the tune going forward:

     Less boomer flag waving, and more “ Adjusts glasses ahem fellow redditors, there’s no such thing as victory or loss, it’s actually all shades of grey….“
