   Talked to a boomer guy who obsessively goes home to turn on ukrainian propaganda on the TV (youtube? Rumble? IDK) to “keep up with the war”. His wife says “it’s all he does, he’s more stressed in retirement than he was at work!!!”

   Asked him to describe the goings-on and he said ukraine is “kicking ass”, the only thing they did wrong was “not force BIDEN to give them F-16s!!!!!”

   Really remarkable. Told him to be sure to sign his kids up to die and he said they’d “be proud to serve their country too”

     He’s friends w/ the guy I talked to before, where he was watching obviously photoshopped garbage thumbnails showing “russian carriers” sinking and F-35’s destroying T72’s. Very weird, ever since I talked to the other guy he tended to moderate it to “yeah it’s all bullshit”

     @WashedOutGundamPilot That's really weird - it usually seems to be a party-line issue with boomers. Tucker, the queue people, and the rest all hate Zelenskyyyyy with a passion, and most Republicans are opposed to every aspect of the war, even if it's just because it's "the stupid government spending our money on stuff that isn't our problem again".
     
     I'd ask him why the Democrats all love the Ukraine and the good Republicans all hate it. Would video of Trump shittalking the Ukraine make a difference for him, or is he one of the 2-3 percent of primary voters that unironically likes McMullen?

     @WashedOutGundamPilot All boomers are warhawks, so desperate to find "that one good war" that can compare to the "good" war their fathers fought in that they end up just wanting any war for any reason and not knowing or caring about any deeper reasons for it. The fact that they're too old to even be effective leaders, let alone serve in any fighting capacity, won't stop them from sucking up any satisfaction they can as "the generation that defeated Hitler 2." There's no saving them, they just need to die or fade into the background.
     
     "they’d “be proud to serve their country too”" implying he's even capable of serving, and he's not just a Carthage-esque elder, wanting to sacrifice younger generations for the glory of older generations.
