YouTube's legal team has demanded that privacy-focused frontend alternative to YouTube, #Invidious, cease offering their client within seven days.

The problem that we keep returning to is that ultimately, google are the ones who hold the entire yt video library hostage. People who upload videos need to stop using youtube altogether.
From ‘fake privacy/security initiatives’: It’s the same situation as with search engines that don’t use their own index - you’re completely dependent on the violators you’re proxying.

what about all the other alternative YT front ends that are around which will grow to fit into the invidious shaped gap if it does end up ceasing (well... just try it YT, individous is not just one instance... you foooools!)
