Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks@caekislove @Boomerman @Terry @William_The_Dragonborn F-16 is cheap, as it was meant to be. It was originally a MP flood-the-sky-with-retards VFR day fighter, they just added more fancy tech to it to make it multirole.
Ukes want it because it’s the most realistic option for sale, it’s an excellend dogfighter (not that it matters, but they’ll never stop caring, just like how boomers have to know the 1/4m time of their car) and it’s the easiest fighter to push through the FMS.
Everything else we have is too mired in approval and auth, whereas the F-16 has active contracts with other countries. Right now they’re building victors for Bahrain, I suspect the ukes want to guilt them into giving up their delivery slots, which would be added to post-dutch F-16Cs (?) to have at least some kind of fighter fleet.
Of course, even with 200 F16s they’d get blown out of the skies like the marianas turkey shoot, with retards on the stick going up against a well defended, prepared, experienced adversary w/ homefield advantage. But the ukes are…..well, slavs, and if I’ve learned anything about them from watching them over the last year, they do have a streak of nigbrain in them
