yeah? what a retarded thing to say, like imagine this image but instead the amerimutt is on the right, and the two options on the left are biden or trump. is the amerimutt wrong for picking 1 of the 2 options even though a similar outcome will happen from either vote?
the same smugness would come from this image if a communist was on the right, then on the left the top would be the nazi's saying 'we want a strong authoritarian government', then the communist saying no, then a communists saying 'we want a strong authoritarian government', then the communist saying 'based!'
such a smug "heh, im smarter than you" radiates from this imageMachismo repeated this. -

Neither of Putin nor Xi any prescription about how other countries should govern themselves. That's exactly why the west shits their pants over them. Small countries can deal with them and they don't coerce them into changing their policy for trade and dialogue.

The meme is about the guy on the right rather than the guys on the left, but Feinstein employed a Chinese spy for a decade while on the Senate Judiciary and Defense committees, Fangfang was in the news for quite some time, and then Shu Pei Pu, maybe the world's most famous boywife. The number of Australian journos on the take seems well-documented, and the internet psyops are not just the CIA. You can say the US pulls that stuff too (the US does pull that stuff too), but Russia and China aren't isolationist by any means. They're not just minding their own business in the corner, they're absolutely trying to win. I don't blame them (we should be trying to win, I don't know why we stopped), but the game is the game, they're playing it.
> If faggots just minded their own business and stop their glownigger meddling, they wouldn't need to be authoritarian.
I'm usually with you on a lot of this stuff but they are authoritarian because they want power. Zero people get to be leaders of world powers unless they want power. It's not like some guy that just wants to mind his own business gets to become the head of state. Putin didn't force Yeltsin to retire because he was meddled with, Xi didn't get term limits abolished on a whim, Biden's not trying to curtail speech for the good of the "soul of the nation", they are all power-hungry psychopaths. Pretending otherwise is untenable. -

It changes what's possible, and once invented, tends to be implemented. The ability to do mass surveilance, for example, is effectively a guarnatee of its implementation. -
Mace Dindu :verified: (macedindu@freespeechextremist.com)'s status on Wednesday, 07-Jun-2023 18:55:23 JST Mace Dindu :verified: @p @dave yeah, but technology in general requires that infrastructure. On the bright side, its inherent complexity makes it vunlerable to cascading collapse. Things like water treatment plants and the electrical grids are prerequisites for 20 century technology, not to even mention current technology. -

Mace Dindu :verified: (macedindu@freespeechextremist.com)'s status on Wednesday, 07-Jun-2023 18:55:25 JST Mace Dindu :verified: @p @dave technocracy pretty much ensures authoritarian order. Extensive government is the price we pay for technology, and freedom is the price we pay for extensive government. Any way you slice it, we're all going to eventually lose all of our freedom, short of full technological collapse. -

Sure. Nothing for it, though. -
Mace Dindu :verified: (macedindu@freespeechextremist.com)'s status on Wednesday, 07-Jun-2023 18:55:36 JST Mace Dindu :verified: @p @dave my main point is that technological advancement has the tendency to require more government and more management of the population, while at the same time creating more effective tools to implement that management. It both requires and ensures the masses be managed like cattle. There's little sense in talking about freedom under the current paradigm, because the requirements of that paradigm are incompatible with individual freedom.
Hence: you'll own nothing, have no privacy, and be happier than ever.
I'm more than a bit skeptical on that last bit, but that's what an optimist has to tell himself, because I'm real bullish on first two bits.
