   continuing the hard work of finishing 'the dispossessed' by le guin. 'left hand of darkness' was a bit wishy washy and too drunk on her own prose, but this one is much worse. Maybe i should try her fantasy.

     @genmaicha I think she's too hung up on about how her writing sounds. Sometimes there are whole paragraphs that flow amazingly well and sound great but make no sense at all. She also disperses more cheap wisdom than a 365 day "Indian sayings" calendar.

     @lain what do you think about le guin's sense of aesthetics? I find her descriptions frustratingly vague sometimes, especially with clothes, and my mind's eye tends to envision some sort of weird, spongy 60's-esque appearance (which could be intentional on her part)
