     @LordMordred Why? Some of the oldest entries in my line are basically “_ is assumed to exist, given 2 entries engraved on a gravestone after the king’s death, naming all 18 children”

     It gets pretty tenuous the rarer literacy was.

     @LordMordred I laughed when my aunt showed me the branch she was researching, because it goes back to 1040 AD and I’m pretty sure you could find 1 to 6 generations of separation between any two points when the only people writing anything down were the ones tracking the royal lineagen
