   Something about ‘suit guys’ I just don’t get along with. Maybe it’s the fact that for so long they aren’t the kind of guy they think we see them as. They’re always try-hards, standing out and looking a little too out-of-sync with the world around them in being overdressed, overheated, and overweight all the time.

   Hopefully now that we’re hitting 30 it’s a requirement, but…..everyone always tells me that at MOST it’s a special occasion thing at their workplace. There’s just no formality left in most offices outside the big cities. I certainly don’t see many suited up fellows out n’ about these days.

   I saw this in the biz shill chat which made me laugh, w/ the volume off I thought it was some pajeeto streaming from a phone booth, but it turns out the guy’s a real tailor (but not british)

     I only wear a suit if I have to make a court appearance, whether in person or via zoom. Otherwise, fuck that gay shit.

     @Eiregoat @Humpleupagus Suits are cool, but the guys wearing them are, sadly, all too often not.

     I’ve seen more than a few who just REALLY want to be cool, and suave, and well put-together but really miss those marks IRL. When you look at everyone else in the office and see you’re the odd man out, you really gotta take a look at yourself and make sure you’re cooler than you are autistic.

     There’s something so, SO hard to watch about the reddit/r/mensfashionadvice intern who thinks he’s doing a james bond thing, when he’s really doing a ‘willie lomax’ thing

     @Paultron Yeah, it sucks because you know he’s trying, he’s just too self-absorbed or inexperienced to see how it comes off. Can’t force coolness, can’t buy your way into confidence.

     Being the lone dude wearing a suit in the heat of summer while the rest of the team is business casual is hard to watch.
