@white_male @Granwalder @HumongusChungus @nugger there were Catholics involved in the creation of Islam.
> According to the traditional sources, Khadījah provided instrumental support in Muhammad’s early prophethood. Her wealth allowed him the leisure to meditate, and she reassured him of the authenticity of his first revelations. She is thus often considered the first person to have believed in Muhammad’s message. Moreover, she consulted her relative Waraqah ibn Nawfal, who is said to have likened Muhammad’s revelations to those of Moses, further providing Muhammad confidence in his revelations.
When he first saw the visions he thought he might have been possessed. His wife took him to meet with Nawfal who told him he was a prophet
> Being a Christian convert Waraqah was knowledgeable in the gospels and was suggested by Khadijah as someone who could help bring understanding to the Prophet’s (ﷺ) experience in the cave of mount Hira.

@nugger @Granwalder Isn't there still the minimum of getting christened to call yourself a christian? Don't know if all denominations agree, but you're not it just because you say it. And then there are other rituals like excommunication, so it's not up to any faggot to call himself a christian indiscriminately.

@white_male @nugger @Granwalder The Catholic Church is just a bunch of Niggers and Faggots.

@HumongusChungus @nugger @Granwalder Without it you'd most probably be a muslim or straight up kike by now.
-
@Granwalder AS SOME TROON ON NPR ONCE SAID (PARAPHRASING BECAUSE IM A TERTIARY SOURCE) -- BEING A WOMAN IS LIKE BEING A CHRISTIAN, BASICALLY YOU ARE ONE IF YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE ONE (BECAUSE THERE CAN BE NO HARD DOCTRINAL DEFINITION (BECAUSE WHAT BODY ESTABLISHES THAT, LE PAPAL MAGISTERIUM OF POPE FRANCIS?))
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT T. HOLY TRADITION MEM

@thatguyoverthere @Granwalder @HumongusChungus @nugger Doesn't matter to my point. Early European wars were highly if not mostly religious wars. Without Church, as it was and what it became, there might not be enough of unification to repel one of the large islamic incursions. Plenty of you fucks proud in your Reformed Christian ways would be reformed islamists, at best if at all, by now and Christianity would possibly be a blip in history instead of being a major religion.
Not to mention the possibility of lost social and technological progress under much more restrictive invasive force, we'd be backwards by millennia.
-
@white_male @Granwalder @HumongusChungus @nugger my point is Islam may never have formed if not for a former priest telling Mohammed he was gifted by God. No one would ever have converted to Islam if instead Mohammed was told it is a demon as he had initially believed.

@kuon @white_male @Granwalder @HumongusChungus @thatguyoverthere IF YOU PERMIT ME A NON-METAPHOR METAPHOR I THINK SOME TECHNOLOGIES ARE DAEMONS OR GENIES THAT FIND THEIR WAY INTO COMPLEX ENOUGH OR LARGE ENOUGH SOCIETIES BY HOOK OR BY CROOK

Wow, I didn't realize you were so progressive. If Christianity held back progress, that'd be better than what actually happened. Instead, Christianity was indirectly responsible for social and technological progress through Christians expounding on the idea of natural law, and formed a multinational system which allowed large organization-dependent technologies to be developed again.
