I haven’t been productive for an entire week and I just feel terrible and hate myself, which makes it worse. I’m really good at falling in to mental spirals lol
I *probably* have ADHD but I have no chance of treatment until in 2 years so, I just kind of have to deal with it until I can get a second evaluation on it…
@LunaFoxgirlVT When I have something I _really_ don't want to do, instead of procrastinating by doing something else, I just do nothing.
Yes, I feel sufficiently bad about not doing what I'm supposed to that I punish myself by not doing something I enjoy. But apparently I don't feel bad enough to just power thru the damn thing I need to do.

@cr1901 it’s a royal pain, in my case I can’t even do things that I want to. My brain just… shuts off for an entire day and I end up just mindlessly watching YouTube while feeling worse and worse
@schizanon caffeine does not really touch any of the receptors related to ADHD so as medication it’s kind of bad, I just use caffeine to stay awake due to my messed up sleep schedule. Not interested in canabis, nor is it legal for recreational use here.
@LunaFoxgirlVT@vt.social I got a diagnosis in my 40s and tried Adderall for a bit, but it's such a hard prescription to fill I just gave up. The only thing I learned was that I've been using Caffeine and Cannabis to treat it all this time. So now I just approach those like medicine; try not to overdose and lose tolerance, and use moderation.
Just having the diagnosis actually helped me a lot; I don't feel so bad about it anymore, like it's my fault or I'm just a slacker. You know what needs to be done now; get enough sleep, eat some high calorie food, get some cardio, and allow yourself some safe stimulants.
