     @Ruusu Actually one fun little consequence of that is that the variance in the Earth's distance from the sun must be less than the diameter of the Earth. Maybe less than the radius, I'm not sure. A lot of diagrams don't show that correctly.

     During the Summer, it is hot because days are long. That means that during the Summer the sun is hanging out with you and your people more often than he's hanging out with the guys on the other side of the Earth, which makes their days shorter. Their days being shorter makes it colder for them, so it's Winter for them.

     @Ruusu @Zerglingman I spent 6 years of my life having to explain to adults how to add two numbers using a calculator. Almost everyone who went to grad school for math can either do this, or has developed a seething hatred of everyone on Earth.

     also interestingly the solar size varies to less than the moons minimum and larger than the moons maximum
