looking for a robust, small, low-power, relatively cheap, preferably open hardware linux-capable (32 bit OK) SBC or SOM with ethernet and good mainline support. it's role is always-on remote management of another system over UART and GPIOs. so basically IOT without wifi and without non-linux OS.
@mntmn so 2 years ago i.MX6ULZ was $2.68 in single quantities now $4.93 for 1000 pcs :( I found myself using almost everywhere Chinese SOC and ICs only because NXP, ST, Microchip, TI either have no stock either have x10 times higher prices. We used to use Microchip MCP120/130T Reset ICs everywhere and they used to cost $0.10-12 then they rise the prices x5 and I looked for alternative and found $0.03 part from China, now Microchip prices "dropped" to $0.36 for 10K still x10 times expensive
