The best thing about Melia is we get to see her grow up from being an insecure teen to a mighty ruler with gravitas and natural authority, something we really don't see with modern politicians. Melia is just someone you naturally respect. While she strongly rejects racial supremacism, she also takes great pride in her race and their history in the face of faggots like Gael'gar. She's the kind of person who you feel you can trust to make the right decision in a tough spot, regardless of personal partisanship.

     @LittleTom There's also not likely gonna be a need to bring her back regardless. The Xenoblade trilogy is done, and whatever follows I don't expect to bring back too many older characters, if any at all. Even for Smash they already have the voice clips should Pyra/Mythra be brought back.

     ....I still have no idea how Nia became queen of the entire Xenoblade 2 world tho, if the world merger only took place like 10-20 years after the events of the earlier games. Rex is the great hero, Morag and Zeke are literally royalty, and even Tora is a super-genius.

     @ChristiJunior Honestly we really don't know the timeframe, since Future Redeemed takes place after multiple Noah reincarnations and several generations, so Rex and Shulk shouldn't naturally be alive. There has to be some Origin/Aionios shenanigans going on here. And whatever it is that's going on with them is the only explanation for Riku too. But you are correct that the only advantage Nia would have over Morag as a political leader is lifespan, and we still have no idea how that translates to Aionios.
