     @SuperSnekFriend @King_Porgi @qwerty This is all I wanna hear from every gamer. Every time I have to make a whole day of small talk with some dude under 40 it always trends towards listening to him describe how terrible every game has been for the last 10 years, only to be capped off with a list of the ones he’s looking forward to because they “seem good”.

     I can’t take it, I’m going crazy, it’s the same thing time after time. We’re no different from the boomers bitching about woke TV but still dutifully taking their shoes off and grabbing the remote first thing after walking in the door.

     Everyone’s going through the motions, dutifully, obediently eating their boyslop media until death, bitching about it the whole way. Well, I do get the vibe some of the gamers just feel like they have to play a lot in order to get use out of their $5k rigs

     With indie scene, AAA, and everything in between being garbage, I don't bother much with gaming anymore. :02sad:

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @King_Porgi @qwerty I'm still seething how many people kept using Steam after everything Valve had done mid-2010's to piss away good will like with the paid mods scandal. 2015 was the last time I bought something on Steam and I seemed to be the only person I knew at the time who did anything substantial against Valve.
     
     There's no self-control or righteous self-denial. :gurasadshark:

     @SuperSnekFriend @King_Porgi @qwerty It’s not even just the self-control, I just don’t get how people can sit down and snap out of their fugue state 8 hours later realizing they pissed away an entire day of their life fucking around on a video game.

     Even the better goyslop games (played alone at least) feels like using a chronological credit card to enjoy taco-bell level pleasure in the present, that will ultimately cost me thousands of dollars in time-bucks in the future.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @King_Porgi @SuperSnekFriend @qwerty I know this is also gay as hell, but it's hard not to feel smug about mostly checking out of video games entirely, the only "game" I've bought in well over a year has been a visual novel and I just don't have any further interest in the medium
