     I found a Chinese rebel with an unlocked knife in 3 seconds of searching btw I hope Xi gets him.

     @Remi @Dan_Ramos Yeah this story doesn't pass the smell test. Do the police install these wire locks and perform regular inspections on them? Practically anything picked up off the ground would be a better weapon than a kitchen knife. What about other "weapons"? Are hedge clippers used by gardeners registered with the government? Are the shovels used by ditchdiggers registered with the government?
     
     For what it's worth, I couldn't find any mainland chinese cooking content on YouTube that showed these "locked up" kitchen knives.

     @caekislove @Dan_Ramos @Remi There’s no such thing, stabbings aren’t common in China, and the Chinese aren’t rebellious.

     Why would they be? Under Xi, China skyrocketed out of serfdom and became a global superpower, and people are making more money than they ever did in generations.
