     @p @mint @1ns0mniak @Punished_Potatus @ademan @dcc @eris @hildabast @jeff @kevin @pockethog @shoq it was originally a board made by the new owner of 4chan to allow users to provide feedback but he didn't read it, and neither did any of the rest of the staff. eventually the mods just left it up but unmoderated as some kind of snarky passive aggressive 'own' to their critics - we have a place for you to criticize us but we don't read it and it's spammed all the time ha ha ha
     
     the board eventually developed its own culture but due to it being unmoderated it was a frequent target for raids by other boards, including /lgbt/. so /qa/ hosted their own counter-raid and basically wiped every thread off the /lgbt/ board. 4chan staff retaliated by quietly locking down /qa/. turns out leaving it unmoderated blew up in their face. oopsie.
     
     anyway /qa/ is where all the new soyjak variants came from and all the crazy schizophrenic edits of them
