@p @1ns0mniak @dcc @kevin @jeff @eris @hildabast @shoq @pockethog @ademan "Free speech" is a half liberal, half jewish modern concept that really came into the general zeitgeist during the Cold War, both as a result of that conflict as well as the jewish movement to normalize and legalize anti-social behavior and markets. Prior to this, free speech was only thought of as it related to the 1st Amendment, in which a person has the liberty to criticize a policy.
There is no reason for those with power to advocate for free speech, and there is no reason for dissidents to advocate for free speech merely for the sake of free speech.
