     You really think it's hidden? It's always been there but it was OK - Clint Eastwood said in 2016 "When I grew up, those things weren't called racist."

     They knew it was racist, but it was OK because no one called them out on it.

     And it's still OK because you're the jerk if you call a racist a racist because everyone, even racists, know racists are bad people.

     White supremacy was never hidden, it was (and is, for a large percentage of Americans) just normal and OK.

     @KentNelson one of the most frightening parts to me about racism is ability for white supremacy to hide itself in our socialization and make some white people inexplicably deny that

     A. There is a problem.

     and

     B. The problem is ours to solve as white people.

     It is and it is.
