   @WashedOutGundamPilot I cold approach 80-90% of the women I see in public who I find attractive.
   The main factor in NOT doing so is whether I'm in lounge/driving clothes - if so I usually don't; I want to actually look presentable because chances are she'll never see me again.

     The way I got good at it is I would practice whenever I travel
     The reason why is because I knew 99.99% chance I will never see them again so there is nothing on the line if they aren't interested
     Other than that I think about it as a numbers game - most will have no interest but eventually you'll get one

     I think the muscle metaphor is most apt
     Just like how retards have innate retard strength, so too do retards have innate social interaction
     Their inhibitions are lowered because they lack the capacity to think about consequences and try to sus-out others' motivations during conversation
     It's normal for intelligent people to start off as more socially wary but it behooves you to train that muscle

     @elftummy @WashedOutGundamPilot I disagree on the first sentence, there definitely is a difference between people whose default behavior is to socialize and have a need to be around people more often than not, versus those who for which socializing implies spending energy and effort, even if they enjoy the company they're with.
     Ofc it's a spectrum, not a discrete binary.
