   @ChristiJunior @RehnSturm256 Asked this question in a separate thread. tldr it depends on the game. Sometimes I like to be me or some in-universe male character. For example, I stuck with classic male Commander Shepard, but I play females in MMOs and some avatar games. But if there's romance involved I go with the canon male character or myself (MCorrin in Fire Emblem:F, myself in Stardew, etc.) and then I pick the girl that most closely aligns with what I personally like.

     @RehnSturm256 @Cayhr I just go with female names that I like the sound of, though I avoid the names I females I know IRL, that becomes too weird for me.

     @RehnSturm256 @ChristiJunior @Cayhr I use one out of a handful for OCs from creative projects that never really went anywhere. They're usually just names I liked or thought fit that character fairly well.
     I usually just pick male characters though.
