I think they see the increased radicalization, increasing distrust in authorities such as themselves and the general unravelling and like an out of touch CEO, decide it has to be somebody else's fault and in this, punished the gatekeeper for not doing the impossible by keeping us all on the reservation.

     That isn't the dumbest idea because if they reduce the channels for radicalizing content, the low velocity watcher will just either stop watching or go back to someone who is more centrist.
     
     The problem is that at this point there are probably too many people that are too high energy and too much going on to keep people like that.

     Tucker was a problem because he was on prime time cable while he was talking about the replacement of ethnic whites. Even if he keeps talking about it elsewhere, this confirms that "replacement theory" can't be discussed at all in the open. Anybody talking about it on a mainstream platform will get cancelled. They are trying to forcefully close the Overton window in effect and I would argue have been successful in doing this for the most part.
     
     That's how they are looking at it. They continue to harshly police above ground political speech while shutting down as many avenues as possible for people like us to actually discuss these issues where normies might find us.
     
     This is also why they won't cover anything the NJP does, and why you won't see much of the discussion involving tuckers leaving actually mention the ADL or "replacement theory".

     It wasn't just the ADL, the J6 report absolutely scared the feds. To quote what a certain person said about some other boomer tier "leaker" who went to the media instead of leaking it himself, leaking the J6 footage to torrents or fucking KF of all places would have been a better move.
     
     Remember how he only showed footage for like a day and then softened/forgot about it, likely because of the people in charge telling him to?

     Aside from that, there was everything from the J6 report that got sank by Fox, to talking about everything from vaccines to troon shit to elections, as the rest of the network has gotten more and more willing to repeat the party line.

     @JSDorn @LovecraftEnthusiast @Terry also I remembered something too, the big theory behind what's gone on with Fox news in the last few months is they cut a relatively good deal with dominion which they'd use as leverage against Newsmax and OANN. Keep in mind outside of tucker Fox declared Biden the winner and said the election is not fake and gay and this made boomers mad.
     
     So they went to watch OANN and Newsmax and what do you know both got sued and OANN got dropped from DirecTV whoops.
     
     Their idea is that the tv will only show pro regime news channels which is also true.

     As someone else I follow said, these tactics do not scale, period. They can only afford to go after big names constantly like the Alex Jones types or maybe Glenn Beck (who has done well off Fox considering how many boomers blast his show from a boombox).
     
     Tucker Carlson is probably going to go to talk radio IMO, a lot of people can thrive there who can't on TV.
