What is it with Western artists and how they try to make their characters look like they have some strange facial skin disease? Emulating the anime girl blush perhaps?
-
@Moto_Chagatai My guess is the artist is trying to emulate the depth of the face while emulating a cheek flush, since the coloration across the eye and upper cheek regions is relatively close to certain geometric reconstructions of the face.
...however, it needs some adjustment to the colors. It works fine on girls B and I, but not very well on girls R and C. You can barely see it on girl S. It's also... very roughly drawn, so I agree that it doesn't look too great. :yoko_think:

@Moto_Chagatai now, on a more critical analysis, I think this is his idea of shadow, considering it's in the eye region. It kinda works for the Indian chick.
That aside, by western standards, this is a pretty good art. They aren't fat, they don't have a button nose or ugly manly features, they don't have vitiligo like so many western artists love to put, they are kinda attractive, and, most importantly of all, the Brazillian representative is not a nigger.
I give it 8/10.

@Suzu @Moto_Chagatai Yeah, I agree. The intent seems to be a shadow, but it really just somewhat works for the Indian chick. And yeah, the Brazilian girl is a pretty good representation. :snum_sneezeandcum:
