   When I got married, my father in law told my wife he'd give her a check for 10k if we just went to the courthouse. She said no way, and I tried my damndest to convince her that she should do it. The wedding was nice, but not a 15k swing nice, lol.

     @mord ouch. These days there’s a certain need to announce to the world, it’s like we have a duty to announce it to the world with a big to-do, particularly after laying out all those wedding gifts for everyone else’s kids
