     @coolboymew Yes and it was awful. Especially when they added video. The quality was just terrible. This was pre broadband, so this software was meant to be used on dialup connections, which maxed out at 56kbps.

     @coolboymew yeah, everyone hated it once broadband became common. I think I still have old anime downloads in rm format. The quality was so bad.

     @Rocket the I had rurouni kenshin eps in rm format. They were like 50mb each. They looked like they were ripped from VHS because some eps had really unusual artefacts

     @coolboymew i remember when the first harry potter movie was going to come out, my dad helped me install quicktime player so we could download the trailer. it took overnight. our internet timed out after 8 hours

     @coolboymew Got a bit of attention at the time for allowing Radio B92 to get around jamming efforts.

     CU-SeeMe was getting audio streaming way before RealPlayer, though.
