     @pettanko Niche communities come with some extra social presence. A kind of "underdog" presence, or that "underrated" and "hippy" aspect. Titanfall 2's Northstar server on Discord (which is the most popular form of communication congregation and thus... yeah) literally doesn't even show the original Northstar logo anymore; only cycling through multi-colored flags now (it did when they first started out). Apex is stale and people know there is a lot of sentiment towards having more Titanfall, so it's just natural people want to get ahead of the bandwagon for "cool points."
     
     ...at least, that's my assessment.

     SgtMarkIV is a sperg, he is racist, and I think he did tell "Rachel", the tranny dev, to kill himself, which caused Mark's ban. But I think he was truly banned off of ZDoom and Doomworld more for petty envy over Brutal Doom's success, Mark's fans, and because Mark saw the writing on the wall with Graf and co, rather than any claimed or true anti-social behavior.

     Lol, lmao even. I can believe it that he was banned for pettier reasons, Brutal Doom reinvigorated the OG game and absolutely influenced the reboot. Too bad the reboot made glory kills essential and tamped down the enemy numbers, it can be fun but Brutal Doom holds the crown imo.
