So I know a thing or two about that musician and I can safely say two things.
1. Said dude is a nerd who was deep into weebshit/tranime, in particular visual novel and makes hour long videos about them (not a joke). Like VNs or hate em, the truth is nobody in the west who is "normal" plays VNs.
2. I have a funny story about him, but not so much about him but rather what happens when you orbit troons/are one. Namely, this dude joined a Discord server led by a tranny (who became one over time, tl;dr your typical lower functioning internet autist who thinks he's smarter than he is and writes fanfiction a lot and passes it off as fact, etc.) who also wanted to get into the pants of every goddamn tranny online. After sending horny DMs to the chiptune autist and being ignored/turned down, the server admin has a schizo break and starts throwing bullshit about how this person is a sex pest and pedo for turning him down. That's not a joke.
The end result is a weeklong flamewar which leads to a administration shakeup, the former admin being ejected from the server, and melting down for weeks about how he was going to destroy the community he was thrown out of because if I can't lead it nobody can. Naturally it was a bluff but he did cause the longtime regulars of the server (many troons too who wanted a Cool Kids Club away from the normies) to lurk in schism servers which didn't last as long.

The sad thing is I've known people who trooned out who don't even keep those autistic hobbies once they troon out and trade it in for a stripper name and solely talking about trans schizo ideology, which usually revolves around parroting whatever hysteria is on Twitter in the minute.

Well put it this way, there's several I've seen, and they're all mimicking shit. There's the anime cosplayer, there's the "scene girl"/mall bitch from the 00s, there's the genderless blob with hair dye, etc.
None of them are what women would wear, just fatasses trying to cosplay as a Sailor Moon character or CWC crossdressing.
