     So ‘cool’ nicknames: Greaser, Skidmarks, Jew, Boner and ‘gay’ nicknames: Thunder, Eagledriver, Rainmakerº

     (‘Rainmaker’ = gay when referring to gunship pilot, but cool when referring to a time the guy drunkenly pissed off the side of the boat and accidentally sprayed the guys on the walkway below)

     @professionalbigot69 @johnnyappleseed They tend to build up a lifetime of bad airmanship in some respects, they’ve always had a ton of power on demand, ready to spool up in a second. Put them in something heavy and slow where you have to make power decisions 40 seconds ahead of time and the cracks show. Pretty common to be doing transition training w/ them and have them bitch endlessly because they can’t just power out of things when they get too slow. Gotta max throttle and drop the nose while you wait 30 secs for speed to build

     @johnnyappleseed I’d share the callsigns I’ve heard IRL but who knows how doxable that makes me. When half of them keep using them in their company profiles I assume it’s easy. But man, I never hear them talk about the cool ones.

     Embarrassing names are great, they’re ffun, self deprecating, and everyone’s eager to befriend you so they can use it too
