   I found a gun that takes 10mm ammunition, causes humans 50 radiation damage and causes the bullets to explode like grenades. I literally don't have to hit things anymore I can just shoot at their feet and everything around them dies. Why does Bethesda do this

     oh yeah. if you look online there are posts talking about how 10mms are great self defense weapons...against angry bears and the like.

     The cartridge has a lot more power to the point when they rolled it out to the FBI, nobody could aim the weapon.
     
     So then they made a shorter and weaker version called .40SW and it was popular for police firearms for a time.

     So much that it makes a semiautomatic pistol feel like a revolver.
     
     The Five Seven and 7.62x25 also have a lot of powder and whatnot in them as well, and the idea is "tiny bullet go fast".

     10mm guns have issues with things like cracked frames. It's the bullet that 1911 fanboys think .45 ACP is.
