     @sj_zero @threalist @vandys @Flick Why does everyone always say this kind of thing though? Newsflash: People are getting better. They’re making society BETTER than it was before.

     This impulse to hoard all these books is just fighting upstream against history. Why sabotage well-meaning people trying to make the world a better place? Thats all your doing keeping inappropriate books around. It’s like keeping a tumor in your home while everyone works together to undergo societal chemotherapy - all so you can metastasize racism, misogyny, anti-trans parenting, homophobia, kinkphobia, fatphobia, nazism, hate speech, and far-right sentiments all over again.

     If your books are being changed or deleted, that’s a good thing. That means they the world is better off without them! If you can’t handle that, you’re on the wrong side of history!!!

     (this is bait, I’m just fishing to see if anyone falls for it. And it’s fun trying to be all irritatingly sanctimonious while being dumb)

     It's really important that we keep copies of important books and other media either in paper form or in electronic copies we control on storage we fully control and don't need to ask permission to read.
     
     The horse is out of the barn, and imo it's only a matter of time until every idiot with a political agenda of any kind will come around to change the cloud hosted media. It's just starting with one group, but it'll expand as it becomes more common and expected.
