   THE ONLY NAPS I EVER GOT IN CORPORATE WHERE WHEN I HAD TO PASS OUT IN MY CAR DURING MY LUNCH BREAKS WHICH I HAD TO CUT DOWN TO 30 MINUTES JUST SO I WOULDNT DROWN IN THE INCREASINGLY IMPOSSIBLE WORKLOAD.

   HOW THE FUCK ARE MANAGERS EVEN ALLOWING THAT?

   THERE IS LITERALLY NO TIME WHEN THERE’S WORK TO BE DONE.

     @LionelValentineAborted It means you stay at work all the time. All these “luxury” thingies are just bait to keep you in the workplace and never going home. Bay area places are really in love with it, because the workers can’t afford a home worth staying in. So offer them a gym, massages, entertainment and you’ll get 14 hours of middling work out of them

     @MuscleOrc1221 @LionelValentineAborted @randbot Basically the pareto rule fits everything: 20% X’s while 80% does nothing. Many companies are that way, mine included. Every time we have a meeting they pat me on the back b/c my output - even screwing around on poast whenever I’m in the office - still sinks everyone else

     Can’t imagine how much I could do if I gave it 70% effort, right now I’m 30-40%

     I never looked into it closely but someone on a @randbot stream mentioned that Twitter could be maintained by about a tenth of its current hires. They and other tech companies have massive numbers of employees that don't do anything.
