     Battery-based Electric Vehicles are a morbid technology.
     
     Storing stable and very long shelf-life fuel such as diesel - "in cheap, lasting, recycled steel containers" - was the only practical solution for a century.
     
     Electricity is a fuel that must be consumed as soon as it was generated, such as in diesel-electric railway engines. Electricity has zero self-life, its a type of fuel that is trying to instantly expire no matter the cost. Cells and batteries only delay that expiration.
     
     Cells do not "store" electricity, the same way the Atlantic does not "store" the Gulf Stream. Once "charged", the cells "generate" the electricity that is trying to instantly expire, at staggering losses converting from diesel -> battery -> electricity -> kinetic.
     
     Battery-based Electric Vehicles demand burning stable fuel (diesel) to prematurely generate instantly expiring fuel (electricity), and storing it in high-cost containers like "balanced" cells (battery).
     
     I recommend you study this carefully, and I recommend you start separating Battery-based (Bb) Electric Vehicles (EV) from the rest.
     
     BbEV technology is currently ignoring the "conversion factors", the physical, and the one we call the Return On Investment (ROI).
     BbEV is also more taxing on the environment than some contraption built before, even losing to coal-burning steam.
     Once you convinced yourself - please do complain on the Internet, and demand people approach the "science" regarding "electric vehicles".
     
     Hype and Marketing buried these facts, its time to bring them to light.

     @FourOh-LLC @amerika I don't think storing electricity is idiotic, but I think expecting it to save the world is. Personally I have plans to one day build a backup battery for my home, and I'd love to be able to generate electricity on my own with minimal impact on the Earth and my wallet. I don't think the current technology really does either and it's a shame everyone is marketing it as "green" when the amount of waste being generated to produce this stuff is insane.

     It takes courage to tell it to the face of all the engineering and marketing gurus that their product is a fraud. I have taken a lot of criticism for it, but the more I try to descibe it the cleared it becomes WHY its a fraud.
     
     "Storing electricity" is idiotic - all the rest is the fallout of that.
